Main directions of activity

  • the development of methodological, methodological and organizational principles of psychological support of the activity of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine;
  • search, approbation and implementation of the latest psychological technologies, training and corrective methods and methodical techniques, psychodiagnostic complexes for professional psychological selection, preparation, support of the employees of the National Police of Ukraine in the educational process and practical work;
  • identification and analysis of occupationally harmful factors and specific factors that lead to adverse consequences, especially regarding the psychosomatic health of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine;
  • development of psychological technologies for the provision of professional and personal security while performing police duties in daily and emergency situations;
  • expert examination of scientific, scientific-methodical and practical developments proposed for psychological support of the activity of the organs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Results of scientific activities

During 2017 the scientific research laboratory of psychological support carried out scientific research in the following areas:

  1. Professional-psychological readiness of the police officer.
  2. Studying of the personality of police officers by use projective methods of psychological diagnostics.
  3. Psychological preconditions for the increasement of the efficiency of management activities of the heads of units of the National Police of Ukraine.
  4. Psychological support of certain aspects of professional activity of employees "KORD".
  5. Psychological and pedagogical peculiarities and specificity of training of a police officeron the application of measures of physical influence.
  6. Work with children with signs of risky behavior.
  7. The actions of patrol police officers whilecall-outs to the cases of violence.
  8. Testing of candidates for full-time study at a state-commissioned higher education institution with special training conditions that train police officers.
  9. Psychological aspects of dealing with persons who are in dangerous mental states.
